Beaterator is an 8-track sequencer and sampler that works in your browser. Fiendishly clever. Discovered via blueskies.

Over at the Leptard, Winnie-the-Puke and his pals are celebrating their second year in blogdom. Everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations with them, as long as you're not a Heffalump, a Woozle, or a hippie.

Went to see Joy Zipper on Tuesday night - the gig was a lot better than I expected. I'd heard some of the American Whip album and thought it pleasant & tuneful enough, but wasn't really blown away. Have to say, though, that the Zipper's tunes really take off live, in a band context. Plus, Vinnie and Tabitha have a unique sort of "couple vibe" on stage that isn't silly or cloying, but completely natural. Great stuff, and I have a funny feeling that I'll be shelling out for the new CD come payday.
